*Based in part on a true story: in May 2008 it was discovered that a

man had kept his daughter imprisoned in the windowless basement of his

apartment building, where he raped her and fathered her seven

children, for over 20 years. Elsa and Katrin are locked in the

basement. The only light they ever see is artificial. Their only

connection to the outside world is the television and their captor.

What they don’t know is that this is the last day they will have to

stay in the basement, nor do they know price of their freedom.
