David Marcus is an actor, writer and producer based in Brooklyn, NY.

Ali Ayala
resident director
Starting work on the group’s Sticky series in 2004, Ali quickly became an integral part of the now three person team and is considered Blue Box’s “southern charm” director. She has directed over 30 plays for the long running Sticky series, which was in residence at Bowery Poetry Club from 2007-2012, including plays by Sheila Callaghan, Adam Szymkowicz, Caridad Svich, Michael Neiderman, Libby Emmons, Mark Borokowski, Jesse Wann, and many others. In addition to shorts, Ali has directed the company’s longer form work, including I Am Not an Allegory (these are people i know), Bowery Poetry Club, 2011; Connie in Detroit, Bowery Poetry Club and TARTE Festival, 2010; The Sustainable Future, Galapagos Art Space, 2006; all NYC. While Blue Box and Sticky keep her quite busy, Ali’s additional directing credits include The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds, The Complete History of America (abridged), The Crown Prince of Perfect, “At Sea,” and several short plays for the Atlantic Theater School. She worked with The Flea Theater on Liz Swados' Jabu, and is a graduate of Wake Forest University.
